BABY MASSAGE CLASSES

When a baby is born it has little understanding of the world around it and relies on its mother for everything.  Bonding with the mother can help the baby to develop emotionally and help the baby to thrive.   A new born baby will have erratic sleep and feeding patterns throughout the first months of its life, it may suffer from tummy pain or colic and not sleep during the night.  This can be very stressful for both mother and baby and can sometimes weaken the bond between them.  Baby Massage can help to strenghthen this bond through its  loving touch which can help give the baby a sense of security. Induce relaxation in both baby and mother and if a pattern is established then it can lead to relief from tummy pain or colic.

Each week you will learn how to massage a different body area and also recap the strokes learnt the previous weeks;   legs and feet,  tummy, chest,  face and head and back, building up to a full massage for baby.  On the final week you will give baby a full massage and celebrate your new skills.

Each class will last approximately one hour with time at the end for socialising and question.

The cost includes your tuition, a bottle of organic massage oil, course notes and song sheets.
